The short version. We ask for your date, time and place of birth because a chart cannot be computed without them. We use them to produce your reading and nothing else. We do not sell them, and we never share them with advertisers. Reply DELETE on WhatsApp and they are gone.
Who we are
SahajAstro is a service of GyanLearn Edusolutions Private Limited, a company incorporated in India, which is the data fiduciary for your personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Your WhatsApp number | To send the daily message you asked for, and to recognise you when you reply. |
| Date, time and place of birth | To compute your birth chart. Without these there is no personal reading — only the general panchang. |
| Your city and language | Timings are computed for your exact coordinates; sunrise in Kolkata is not sunrise in Ahmedabad. |
| Messages you send us | To answer them, and to see which questions we are failing to answer. |
| Payment records | Only if you subscribe. Handled by Razorpay — we never see or store your card details. |
We do not ask for your name, address, email, gender, contacts, location history or anything else, and the WhatsApp form does not offer those fields.
What we do with it
Your birth details are turned into a chart, and the chart is matched against classical rules to produce your daily reading. That is the whole of it. We do not build advertising profiles, we do not sell or rent your data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own purposes.
We use these processors, and only for the purpose named:
- Meta (WhatsApp Business Platform) — message delivery.
- Supabase — the database your profile is stored in.
- Cloudflare — hosting for this website and the messaging service.
- Razorpay — payments, if you subscribe.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act you may see what we hold, correct it, withdraw consent, or have it erased. On WhatsApp:
| STOP | Pause the daily message. Your data stays so you can resume. |
| DELETE | Begin erasure. We ask you to confirm, then remove your profile and birth details. |
| START | Resume after a pause. |
Deletion is permanent and we cannot recover a chart afterwards — you would give your birth details again to start over. Records we must keep for tax or accounting reasons (payment receipts) survive deletion of your profile, because the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Your profile is kept while your account is active and for 90 days after you stop, so that resuming is easy. After that it is deleted. Message logs are kept for 12 months. Payment records are kept as long as tax law requires.
Consent
We ask before we collect. Giving your birth details in the WhatsApp form is the consent, and the form says what it is for. You can withdraw it at any time with DELETE, and withdrawing does not cost you anything you have already paid for — we refund the unused part of a subscription month.
Children
This service is not for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly hold a child's data. If you believe we do, write to us and we will remove it.
Security
Data travels over TLS and is stored on managed services with access limited to the people who operate this product. Birth details are stored encrypted. No system is perfect; if a breach affects you we will tell you and the Data Protection Board, as the Act requires.
What this service is not
SahajAstro provides guidance based on classical Vedic astrology. It is not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice. We do not predict death, we do not predict the sex of an unborn child — which is prohibited under the PC&PNDT Act — and we do not diagnose illness. If you are unwell, see a doctor; if you are in distress, please speak to someone you trust.
Changes
If we change this notice materially we will say so on WhatsApp before the change takes effect, not quietly on this page.
